Magic on the High Seas [ Ivana, Rose ONLY-- contact one for permission ]

The sea was calm and peaceful. The blazing sun glistened the water to be as blue as crystals. What many people didn't know was that the sea was full of magic. In the sea there lived a mysterious clan of creatures called the merfolk. They were generally kind, benevolent and afraid of humans. However, one mermaid with blonde hair like the sun wasn't afraid. She was simply curious about the existence of humans and wished to know more about them. She spent her days by the coast, watching and singing on a rock.

As the sun was shining, the mermaid waited on her rock for signs of the mysterious ships and of the two legged creatures known as humans.

The blonde mermaid saw the massive ship and hid behind her rock. She noticed the blonde captain but still hid from the humans. She noticed that there was a village not to far from where she was. The pirates were headed towards it. She kept low and watched them with her amethyst eyes. Her eyes never left the captain...

Even though she was small and appeared to be delicate, there was something threatening about the captain. Her very gaze - better yet, glare peering in one's direction was enough to intimidate even the mightiest of men.

Each member of the crew eventually got off the ship except for a few who were ordered to stay and look after it. They were in need of food and water, not to mention that a few jewellery was more than acceptable to be loaded on the ship. They broken into laughter and song, except for Captain Kirkland. Usually she would be more spontaneous about conquering another city, but for right now, she felt... stalked.

Her pace slowed down and as the men walked past her, she stopped and turned around to look after any 'intruders'. Apart for the sailors staring at them from her ship having their arms dangling from side to side past the railing, she saw no one else... however that disturbing feeling couldn't have been caused by them. It was someone or something else... She just knew it...

The gaze of the young female captain seemed... frightening. The mermaid watched from the distance unaware of what was happening behind her. Two of the crew members had spotted her and grabbed a surlap sack. They knew that their captain would be pleased with something like her. They could probably sell her for maybe 10,000 gold pieces! They chuckled at the thought of being rich and then stuffed the mermaid in the surlap sack.

The mermaid fought trying to free herself from the bag but it was no use they slumped her over their shoulder and walked back to the ship. "Captain! Captain! Look at what we found!" They untied the sack and the mermaid fell out. She was a sight to witness. Pale skin, golden blonde locks and a dark blue fin. She was topless but her hair was long enough to cover her chest. Her amethyst eyes shone with slight fear as she looked at the captain.

"What... es going on? Where am I, da?" She was a Russian mermaid which was noticed by her accent.

The captain turned to look at her crew member. She had a dull look upon her face with her eyes looking firm and tenacious, but she looked slightly taken aback at the sight of the prize - upper half human and the rest fish. "Well, blow me down!", she said partly under her breath. Her glance remained tenacious whereas her lips curved into a tainted smile. "If I knew these waters were populated with mermaids, I would've come here much sooner."
Rose crouched in front of the sea creature and grabbed a firm hold of her face, fingers pressing roughly against her cheeks, squeezing them, and pulled her head closer. "She's a real beauty, aye? She has a cute lil' accent, too. I bet she'll cost a fortune!" She released her face just as roughly as she grabbed it and stood up with her hands on her hips and her chest proudly stuck out. "Chain the creature and put 'er in a water tank. I want her alive", she ordered and her men did as she wished. They covered the mermaids head and tail in the same sack she was brought and began to drag her towards the bridge. Rose didn't seem surprised upon hearing the lass's voice. She slowly and nonchalantly turned her head to face her, chuckling and grinning. "I heard ye lost yer crew. Was the pirate life too tough for ye?", she taunted as she watched her, her eyes gleaming with mockery.
