Principle's Office [OPEN] Empty Principle's Office [OPEN]

Post  Ivan Braginski March 14th 2012, 12:25 am

The sound of boots against flooring and the flapping of heavy clothing echoed lightly from the hall. A tall, broad-shouldered man carrying several books and binders under his arm strode down the empty halls with long, swift strides. A fur cap sat upon locks of silvery hair that swayed to the uniform pattern of the strides and the soft humming that was emitted. He knew that very soon the halls will be bustling and quite noisy...

Ivan Braginski allowed his striking amethyst irises to scan the area, utterly fascinated at his new surroundings. He followed the hallways until it led him to the door that had a nice big plaque with the word "PRINCIPLE" plastered in black lettering on it. The Russian slipped his free hand into his pocket and fumbled around for his set of keys. Once his gloved hands brushed over the hard, ridged side of the key, he slipped them out and slid one into the lock, hoisting his burden of books on the wall as he did so. With a light click, the door unlocked. Ivan pushed the door open with his shoulder and stepped into the dark room without even bothering to turn on the light.

    Thump.

The Soviet winced as his foot bashed against the desk. With a faint chuckle, he plopped the books down on the table and reached out for the switch. Light flooded the room, causing Ivan's amethyst irises to narrow ever so slightly in attempt to shield themselves from the sudden light. After a few moments of blinking,, the silver-haired Russian glanced around. He smiled cheerily to himself.

"Nice place..." He thought to himself as he looked over the office. It wasn't the largest of rooms, but it was large enough to fit several naughty students at the other table. There was even a small couch and room for a plant in the corner.

With a satisfied hum, Ivan turned and began to organize things onto his desk. He adjusted the lamp... set up his laptop... and did all the little things one does to leave their signature on an area. With a tired, yet satisfied sigh, he plopped into his chair and began shifting through the stack agendas, rosters, schedules, lists, and names and sorting them into neat little piles. He still had to go to the Library and see what books are good for the History class he has to teach.

It might be a chaotic, tiring first few days... but Ivan had an unusually good feeling about this. Still smiling softly to himself, the Russian Principle began preparing for the first day of school.

The Russian teen appeared by the door of the principal office, knocking on it lightly. He felt a bit tired from rushing this morning for no reason, and a bit hyper from coffee mixed with vodka. He was bobbing his head slowly to the music he was listening to, the left ear didn't have a ear bud in it so he could hear others. His backpack was close to empty, with only a vodka bottle, a notepad, a drawing pad, and a few pencils.

The Russian female had arrived in the building. She was walking down the hall when she saw a light in the principal's office. Curiously, she wondered if her brother was already in there, preparing for the school day. She decided to go see as she walked towards the office.
"Privet~" she said, in a cheery tone when she noticed her brother at his desk.

Ivan's amethyst irises glanced up at the knock. "Come in..." He called out lightly before turning back to his paperwork.

After looking up once more to see who it was, his smile grew a bit.. "Privet, Vladimir." He greeted his son in his thick Russian accent before flipping through a few papers.

"How are you today? Adjusting to de area, da?"

His attention was grabbed once more by the female that walked into the room. He nodded in her direction, still smiling lightly. "Privet, Ivana." Ivan greeted. "Tings are running well so far, da?"

The Russian teen smiled, nodding his head a bit "Privet Father, I am getting quite used to this place, da...just need to get used to waking up early." He laughed and yawned a bit at the same time, still used to waking up late in the afternoon.

He turned to see his aunt, still smiling a bit "Privet Tetya, Good morning."

"Heh...possibly." He sounded a bit scared, knowing he might end up slacking like always. The few things he fears is the wrath of his aunt...wait that's the only thing he truly fears.

"I can promise I'll try my best, da." He smiled a bit fearfully, images of what could be hell in his mind.

Ivan chuckled a bit at Vladimir's response. "Da... getting up early is someting we all need to start working on. Tankfully, my history class isn't until de afternoon. You can rest of de couch for a bit ef you want."

"What teachers are currently present?" Ivan asked toward his twin as he turned his attention back to the papers in his hands.

Ah, so much to do.. so little time. Luckily the Nazi attacks have stopped due to the sudden migration, and that gave him time and room to think. The Soviet was happy he now had time to kill...

But that time will soon end, sadly. He still needed to go to the library to get some books he needed...that, and he felt like he needed to introduce himself to his staff. He continued to smile softly to himself as his sister and son spoke, and plopped a small stack of papers in a drawer.

The small Latvian boy walked to the principal's office with his head down. He had been caught passing notes with Sealand in class and was sent straight up to the principals office. The boy arrived at the door..... completely terrified about what was about to happen he gathered all the courage he had and lightly knocked on the door.......

"Good, Good..." Ivan said thoughtfully toward his sister as he pushed a stack of papers toward the corner of his desk.

His head rose at the faint knocking sound. The Russian's sharp ears detected the nervous beat the knock bore... that was enough to stimulate a faint, rather cruel smirk to form over his casual smile. Class hasn't even begun, and already students were being naughty? Pity... This was bound to be quite an interesting year.

    "Enter."

Ivan's brow rose a bit at the sight of the Baltic, yet that pleasant smile of his faltered not from his features. He rested his elbows on his desk and touched his fingertips together, meeting the Latvian's gaze with his.

"Will you two excuse us for a moment?" The Russian spoke softly to his son and sister. "Ai will meet you in the lounge in a few moments, Ivana..."

"Oh, and..." His cheery amethyst gaze shifted from Ravis to the Braginskis in the room. "Close de door behind you, ef you will."

    "U-ummmmmm.....L-Lovely weather we are having...."

Hoping to get on his principals good side, He smiled slightly

Ivan's position was unchanging as the two left the room. His elbows were still resting on the desk, and the tips of his fingers were touching.

"We are, arn't we?" Ivan responded causally as he allowed that amethyst gaze to fall back onto the Baltic. The Russian's head tilted ever so slightly as he touched his upper lip to his touching index fingers in a thoughtful manner. A few silvery strands from Ivan's locks fell over his eyes, yet he didn't seem to mind. "Classes have not even started yet... and you are already getting into trouble? Ai am disappointed, Ravis..."

He nodded his head toward the chair in front of his desk.

    "Sit."

"You are supposed to be representing de Soviets, remember?" Ivan whispered, a light, yet deadly flame flickered within the depths of those eyes; yet it vanished just as quickly as it came. His tone was still light and casual, yet he was both irritated and amused at the other's shivering antics.

"Please don't make me look like a fool. So exactly what was et dat you did, hmn?" The Russian smiled as he sat back into his chair. His tone wasn't whispery anymore as he asked the last question.

"What was de situation that just could not wait until lunch-break...or even de time you take walking down de hall...? Et must have been quite important if you just had to be rude and interrupt someting dat just might benefit your future..."

The eternally cheerfully Russian teenager was skipping down the stairs carelessly whilst humming a well-known Russian song. Her school uniform skirt fluttered gently as she jumped down onto the next step and her lightly balled fists swayed at her sides. Dominika was in her Junior year and she was eager to go greet the new headmaster who was also her beloved father. "Papa's headmaster now. Ai can't wait to see him!", she thought, giggling in her head.

One more step and - Jump! She landed lightly and gracefully with a light thud on her feet. Running was against the rules and she really didn't want to get in trouble. After all, she was the favourite child. Making her daddy proud and siblings jealous of her was her only wish. As she walked toward the headmaster's office, she saw the VP - who was also her aunt - leaving the room. "Tetya!", she cheered with a wide smile on her face and rushed toward the female - she wasn't running, just walking at a quicker pace.

"Secretary...?" Ivan's brow rose a bit at the boy's offer. He was both pleased and rather caught off-guard. "You are a bit young for dat, da? You just need to focus on your classes for now. Now, ef you will excuse me, ai have a class you prepare for." The Russian rolled his chair back a bit and grabbed a briefcase. He was too focused on other things to hear his daughter's voice just outside his office.

"But Ravis..." The Soviet's smiling tone shifted back to the other. "Remember ef you give any touble... ai will have to punish you both here and at home."

Shivers again in fear "Y-yes Sir....." Quickly gets out of his chair and walks out of the office. At least "I'm safe for the time being" He thought to himself and opened the door leading to the hall way. The Baltic jumped seeing his boss's daughter in the hall way. "H-Hello....." He managed to say before racing away as fast as his short legs would take him. It wasn't that the Cheerful Russian girl scared him, Raivis never knew how to talk to girls and always avoided conversing with them at all cost.

The door caught her attention when it swung open in such a vicious manner. The cheerful look on her face withered as quickly as it returned. "Privet", she returned the polite greeting to the small nation before he managed to run away. What a shame... those two hardly ever talked nowadays. Oh, well. At least now she could finally be alone with her father. Hopefully he wasn't too busy.

The young Russian girl took a few quiet steps to the doorway. Carefully not to make a sound or move it, she touched the wooden door and leaned in a bit to peer inside the office. It almost felt like home. The winter atmosphere and scent was perfect and that was all thanks to the simple fact that Russia was inside. Sneaking inside and surprising him didn't seem like such a good idea at the moment. For now, she was going to greet him like any other student... for now.

"You adjust well to de new school, da?" , her melodious sweet yet cold voice flooded the soundless room as she took a step forward into the office. "Ai wonder what Ai'm suppose to call you from now on. Papa or Headmaster Braginski?", she asked, smiling warmly... It was a genuine smile that she only flashed to her father and aunt.

[-Was randomly browsing Russian customs and begins reading: "There is no Russian word for privacy." .... -keeps going down the list- "Lack of physical contact is a sign that something is wrong to Russians." Heh... that explains things.]

Ivan looked up at the sound of the familiar voice. A rare, genuine smile crossed the Russian's features as he stood and stepped toward the young girl. "Privet, Moscow." he said before leaning down and kissing her three times on the cheeks; one on the right, one on the left, and the last on the right. It was a traditional greeting for the Russians, one that has been practiced for many generations.

"Da, tings are quite well here. Ai still need to go to de library to prepare for my class." He chuckled a bit and picked up a list. After shifting his amethyst gaze back onto the slip of paper, he spoke up again. "Would you like to come wit me? And you can call me what ever you tink es respectful..."

[My history teacher went on a trip to Russia and told us about a few of their customs. He said that the people frightened him for they were all really big and tall - he's a short man - and they were really intimate with each other at the bar. He said that Russian's tended to kiss 5 times when they greeted each other and left. o.O]

Dominika planted three kisses on his opposite cheeks, returning his greeting. She leaned back a bit and stared up at him a little perplexed. "Ai didn't know you're a teacher as well" Her smile grew a little more and she nodded cheerfully. "Da! Ai want to spend as much quality time wit you as I can, papa!"

[The "personal space limit" thing here in America is three to four feet away. It's three to six inches in Russia. But yea, if you're not constantly touching someone, even if it's someone of your own gender and you're married, then there's something wrong and they take that as an offence. That, and I find it somewhat ironic that in Russia, constant smiling is a sign of foolishness or stupidity. You don't smile when you greet someone or when you're talking; stranger or not. If fact, you only smile if you really mean something.... that's it. XD Oh, Hetalia... you're such a troll...]

Ivan nodded delightfully and kissed the top of her head before walking over to the lamp and switching it off

"Ai have quite a few students in my class, so tings are bound to be fun. Ai'll meet you at de library, da?"
